Excursions to Beachy Head, Brighton, Battle & Hastings

Day 1 – Enjoy a leisurely journey to the Cumberland Hotel in Eastbourne.

Day 2 – This morning we visit Beachy Head, famous for its spectacular white cliffs and dramatic coastline created by the Seven Sisters landmark. After a photo opportunity we then travel to Brighton, where we will spend the remainder of the day. From the exotic Royal Pavilion to the new British Airways i360, Brighton has a wealth of attractions and no seaside day out would be complete without a visit to Brighton Palace Pier or Brighton Sea Life Centre, the World’s Oldest Aquarium.

Day 3 – Today you are free to explore as much (or as little) of Eastbourne as you like. Located on the seafront overlooking the famous flower decked promenade bandstand and beautiful Victorian pier, our hotel is situated perfectly to help you get the most out of your free day. The Eastbourne Lifeboat Museum and the Winter Gardens are a leisurely walk away or perhaps you’d prefer Eastbourne’s Miniature Steam Railway.

Day 4 – After breakfast we travel to Hastings for free time. To soak up Hasting’s immense history maybe wander the preserved Old Town which lies in a valley between the East and West Hills, each with their own funicular railway (not included). Take the East Hill up to Hastings Country Park or the West Hill Lift to the ruins of Hastings Castle. Later, we visit Battle, named after the most famous conflict on English soil, the Battle of Hastings, fought in 1066.

Day 5 – After a relaxing morning we begin our journey home.
