DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – Enjoy a leisurely stop in Kings Lynn before arriving at our hotel later this afternoon. The Hanseatic town of Kings Lynn was once one of England’s most important ports and this maritime past is still very much in evidence today. Fine old merchants’ houses stretch down to the river between cobbled lanes and the elegant Customer House overlooks the harbour.
Day 2 – This morning we visit Norwich for free time. As well as being the only English city in a National Park (the Norfolk Broads), it is also the most complete medieval city in the UK. The city’s centre is easy to walk and even better to explore, perhaps starts at Tombland. From here two gates St. Ethelbert’s and Erpingham lead into the idyllic Cathedral Close, home to a wealth of historic buildings, including the medieval Deanery. It’s also close to Elm Hill, a lovely cobbled medieval street near to the River Wensum lined with tiny houses, many of them now attractive shops. After some free time, we’ll return to our hotel for an afternoon at leisure.
Day 3 – After a leisurely morning, this afternoon we take you to Wroxham where we have included a scenic boat cruise. Situated in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, what better way to discover one of Britain’s most enchanting landscape than learning about the Broads with a fun and informative commentary whilst taking in the beautiful scenery all around you?
Day 4 – After breakfast we wave goodbye to our hosts and begin our journey home with comfort stops along the way.
