Llandudno 2019

5 Days

Fall down the rabbit hole on this break to Llandudno. Developed as an upmarket holiday town for Victorian visitors, it was in Llandudno where Lewis Carroll fell in love with a girl called Alice, who became the main character in ‘Alice in Wonderland’

Day 1 – We travel to our hotel.

Day 2 – This morning we travel to Llanberis for free time. Situated at the foot of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. From here you can catch the Snowdon Mountain Railway to the stunning Hafod Eryri Visitor Centre (price not included), or if you’d prefer to keep your feet a little closer to the ground you could visit The National Slate Museum. After some free time, we visit Betws-y-Coed. Here you can browse the range of independent shops and local homemade produce.

Day 3 – Enjoy some free time in Llandudno, Wales’ biggest and best-loved seaside resort! Known as the ‘Queen of the Welsh Resorts’ Llandudno is graced with some of the most elegant seaside architecture in Britain.

Day 4 – Today we travel to the stunning Island of Anglesey, a popular destination with miles of glistening beaches and ancient sites. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also lived here when William served at the Royal Air Force base in Valley. After some free time, we visit Beaumaris for the afternoon. This beautiful seaside town is home to a mix of medieval, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture. If you walk along the seafront, you will enjoy views over the Menai Strait and Snowdonia.

Day 5 – After breakfast, we return home to the East Midlands via Chester.
