DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – Board our coach for a leisurely journey to the Isle of Wight.
Day 2 – This morning we visit the Victorian town of Ventnor, one of Britain’s most famous Victorian health resorts due to its unique micro-climate. Later, we visit the Ventnor Botanical Gardens for free time. Located in the unique microclimate of the Ventnor Undercliff which is on average 5 degrees warmer than the mainland UK, this tropical garden boasts an impressive collection of over 30,000 rare and sub-tropical plants and trees.
Day 3 – Enjoy the day at leisure; Sandown sits on the Southern coast of the Isle of Wight, sheltered in a beautiful bay its renowned for its stretches of golden sandy beaches and home to a traditional British seafront and pier. Maybe visit the local Zoo – built within the ruins of a Victorian fort – or enjoy a peaceful walk along the Esplanade until you reach Yaverland Beach, regarded as one of the Islands best beaches.
Day 4 – This afternoon we will enjoy a lunch break in Godshill – this quintessential English village boasts some of the oldest architecture on the Isle of Wight. Before visiting Ryde, the largest town on the Isle of Wight, where we will spend the remainder of the day. Known as ‘The Gateway to the Island’ as well as an expanse sandy beaches, Ryde also has a great selection of boutique shops, museums and galleries for you to enjoy.
Day 5 – After breakfast we visit the iconic Needles, one of the most photographed groups of rocks in the world. We then continue to Alum Bay, renowned for its multi-coloured sand cliffs and stunning views across the Solent. Afterwards, we take you to Yarmouth for free time. The historic port town sits at the mouth of the River Yar and contains some of the oldest architecture on the Isle of Wight, including a 16th Century castle. Later, we will enjoy a scenic drive back to the hotel.
Day 6 – We arrive at Osborne House, one of the most visited houses in Britain, originally designed by Queen Victoria’s beloved Prince Albert. Set in acres of beautiful grounds and ornamental rose gardens. It’s easy to see why this house was one of Queen Victoria’s favourite places.
Day 7 – We bid a fond farewell taking home great memories and great new friends.
