HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR STAY
Day 1 – On our arrival to the Hotel Wagner in Kamp Bornhofen, our wonderful hosts will welcome us with a Schnapps wine.
Day 2 – Shortly after breakfast we take you to Rudesheim for free time. Located in the Rhine River gorge, Rudesheim is a picturesque winemaking town (most famous for its production of Asbach Brandy that has been in production since 1892). Complete with narrow cobblestone alleys and timber-framed taverns, Drosselgasse is Rudesheim’s main street and a stroll along here almost feels like you’ve stepped back in time.
Day 3 – This morning we visit Koblenz, one of the most beautiful and oldest towns in Germany. Make the most out of discovering this ancient city today and on our optional trip to the mighty Fortress of Ehrenbreitstein*. Built between 1817 and 1828 your journey will begin via a fun cable car trip – the longest in Germany – across the glistening Rhine with superb views over the town. If you’ve chosen this extra, you’ll be provided with attraction tickets and given free time. You can also enjoy a relaxing cruise over to the city of Braubach where you will re-join the group and spend the rest of the afternoon. Surrounded by vines and roses, the historic city of Braubach is guarded by the impressive Marksburg Castle.
(*Additional £25 per person, please enquire at the time of booking. Minimum numbers required.)
Day 4 – After a leisurely breakfast enjoy free time to explore Kamp-Bornhofen, this friendly village offers traditional timber-framed buildings home to charming cafés, restaurants and shops.
Day 5 – We retrace our footsteps back home.
