HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR STAY
Day 1 – We begin our leisurely journey, travelling through Europe until we reach our overnight hotel.
Day 2 – After an early breakfast we travel to the Hotel Bazzoni, near Lake Como.
Day 3 – Today we enjoy a private boat cruise along the glistening shores of Lake Como, from Tremezzo to Bellagio. Often referred to as the ‘Pearl of the Lake”, Bellagio’s world-class shops and restaurants provide the perfect place to soak up the lake’s glorious scenery. The village is characterised by century-old buildings, stone lanes and picturesque cobbled stairways.
Day 4 – Spend today exploring your resort at your own pace. Or, you could join us for an optional excursion on a one-way panorama train*. Travelling from Tirano to St. Moritz, this pleasurable journey between Switzerland and Italy will take you through tunnels, bridges and crosses the famous Landwasser Viaduct. (*Additional £35 per person, if you would like to go on this journey then please enquire at the time of booking, min numbers required.)
Day 5 – This morning we head to Ascona for a little bit of free time. Located in southern Switzerland, Ascona is known for its Mediterranean-style architecture and café-line promenade along Lake Maggiore. Borgo, the Old Town, is home to a 16th Century Church of St. Peter and Paul and the Museum of Modern Art. Afterwards, we visit Locarno. Here we have included a visit to the beautiful Camellia Park in Locarno, lying just over the border from Italy on the Swiss banks of Lake Maggiore. Each Springtime, this unusual park boasts over 900 different types of bright and vibrant camellias spread over 10,000 square metres. Originally created in 2005 for the International Camellia Society World Congress, it is a riot of colours and smells!
Day 6 – After breakfast, we leave our resort and retrace our footsteps back through Europe, returning to our overnight hotel.
Day 7 – We return home this evening.
