Now, more than ever, it is important that you take out travel insurance at the time of booking your holiday. It’s something we strongly advise to anyone joining us on a Skills holiday to protect you against unforeseen circumstances or events that affect your holiday plans.


This insurance is arranged by LS Insurance Brokers and Underwritten by Travel Insurance Facilities Plc and Insured by White Horse Insurance Ireland dac. Travel Insurance Facilities Plc is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. White Horse Insurance Ireland dac is authorised and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. Deemed authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority. Subject to regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority and limited regulation by the Prudential Regulation Authority. Details of the Temporary Permissions Regime, which allows EEA-based firms to operate in the UK for a limited period while seeking full authorisation, are available on the Financial Conduct Authority’s website.


Please be aware that this is a travel insurance policy and not private medical insurance. This means there is no cover for any medical expenses incurred in private medical facilities if tifgroup-assistance have confirmed that medically capable public facilities are available.


This insurance policy will suit the demands and needs of an individual or group who have no excluded pre-existing medical conditions, are travelling in countries included within the policy terms and who wish to insure themselves against unforeseen events subject to the terms, conditions and policy limits as set out in the policy wording.


The main benefits of cover provided are:


Cancellation – if you have to cancel your trip. This includes cover should you, or anyone named on the policy, have to cancel your trip due to contacting Covid-19 within the 14 days prior to travelling.


Medical expenses – covers costs for emergency medical treatment received whilst on your trip, including the costs of medical repatriation or the cost of someone having to travel and stay with you if you are hospitalised.


Possessions – if your personal possessions are lost, stolen or damaged whilst on your trip.


You will receive your Confirmation, policy wording and IPID (Insurance Product Information Document) through the post in the next few days. Please read these carefully. If for some reason you are not able to comply with the terms and conditions or it doesn’t meet your needs, you have 14 days in which to cancel the insurance and get a full refund – as long as you have not already travelled or made a claim.

COVID-19 Cover

Our NEW COVID-19 policy now covers you for disruption to your holiday plans as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.


This is included in the cost of all travel insurance policies we sell.


Before your trip:


• Cover if you test positive for coronavirus within 14 days before your holiday

• Cover for if you have been hospitalised within 28 days of your holiday

• Cover if you are not allowed to board your transport as a result of a positive coronavirus test or raised temperature

• The policy can be cancelled if the UK or your local area enters lockdown again within 14 days of purchase


On your trip:


• Cover if you have checked in at your holiday accommodation but they need to close as a result of the coronavirus

• Medical cover included if you catch coronavirus whilst you are abroad

• Cover if it is medically necessary to bring you home

• Cover for additional accommodation and travelling costs if you contact coronavirus whilst you are abroad

If you take out insurance when booking your holiday, the price will be added to your holiday cost. Your statement of cover will be sent to you along with your booking confirmation.


If you've already booked, adding insurance to an existing booking is easy. You can just give us a call on 08456 66 55 44* and we'll be happy to add it on for you.


You can use your own travel insurance if you have it, but you must contact us with the policy details and emergency contact numbers before departing on your Skills holiday.
