MONDAY
We cross the Welsh border to enjoy a leisurely stop in Llandudno before continuing to our hotel in Llanberis. On arrival we will have a welcome tea or coffee and entertainment will be provided each evening.
TUESDAY
After breakfast we visit Portmeirion with admission included into this unique village. Situated on a private peninsula overlooking stunning coastal scenery, this Italian style village was built by Sir Clough Williams?Ellis and is now one of Wales' most popular tourist destinations. This afternoon we travel to Porthmadog where we have arranged a journey on the Ffestiniog Railway to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Travelling through the glorious Snowdonia National Park, experience the magnificent scenery in comfort whilst savouring the romance of gleaming steam engines and carriages!
WEDNESDAY
Enjoy a day at leisure in Llanberis, sitting at the foot of Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales. The base station for the railway to ascend it heights, is a stone throw from our hotel. This evening a glass of wine is included with dinner!
THURSDAY
This morning we visit the charming seaside resort of Barmouth, one of the most beautiful locations in Wales! Later, we take you to our hotel in Carmarthen. On arrival there will be tea and coffee waiting for us before dinner and during our stay there will be an evening of entertainment. Guests can also enjoy free use of the hotel's leisure facilities, which include a sauna.
FRIDAY
This morning we visit Picton Castle & Gardens for a guided tour. Built in the 13th Century and set in 40?acres of magnificent woodland and walled gardens, it has one of the largest collections of cultivated plants in West Wales, where exotic species co?exist with native flora. This afternoon we travel to Tenby, a delightful little harbour town and seaside resort for some free time to explore.
SATURDAY
After breakfast we travel to cosmopolitan Mumbles, famous as the birthplace of Dylan Thomas and home to a broad range of quirky shops and a Grade II listed pier. From here, we continue the short distance to the Gower Heritage Centre. Here, our group will be joined by a knowledgeable guide, for a tour of the Gower Peninsula - via our coach! Afterwards, we will return to the centre to enjoy a traditional cream tea.
SUNDAY
We retrace our footsteps home with comfort stops along the way.
