WHITBY
(FULL DAY): Blow away those cobwebs with a visit to Whitby today, one of the North East coasts best-loved seaside towns. Home to the atmospheric Abbey, towering over the winding cobbled streets and a working harbour. You might choose to climb the 199 steps from the old town to the churchyard of St Mary's or visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, located in the 17th century harbourside house where he served his apprenticeship.
SCARBOROUGH
(FULL DAY): Enjoy free time in Scarborough, Britian's original seaside resort is home to two sweeping beaches, rugged castle ruins and museums for rainy days! Did you know that the town is home to one of the first purpose-built museums in the world? The Rotunda tells the incredible story of our natural history and the rich fossil-finds on offer across the Yorkshire Coast.
YORK CHRISTMAS
MARKET (HALF DAY): After a hearty breakfast we visit York, here you can visit one of the most popular Christmas markets in the UK - the York St Nicholas Fayre. Each stall offers different merchandise including gifts, crafts and jewellery. Be sure to sample some of the local specialities and international cuisines whilst enjoying carol singers and the daily entertainment. After some free time, we will return home.
