PEMBROKE
& ST DAVID'S (FULL DAY): This morning we visit the walled town of Pembroke. Dating back 900 years, it's most famous for its Norman castle - one of the most complete examples in the UK - it is also the birthplace of Henry VII, founder of the Tudor dynasty. After some free time, we travel to St David's, the UK's smallest city. Perhaps visit the 12th Century cathedral. Here you can learn all about the history of St David's and visit the impressive Treasury collection.
CARMARTHEN
(FULL DAY): Enjoy free time to explore Carmarthen, reputed to be the birthplace of the legendary wizard Merlin and has the distinction of being Wales' oldest town. It stands on a bluff above the River Towy which runs from the Black Mountains down into Carmarthen Bay.
MUMBLES &
GOWER HERITAGE CENTRE (FULL DAY): We travel to Mumbles, which marks the beginning of the Gower Peninsula's coastline and is home to some world?class ice cream - but don't just take our word for it! Later, we take you to the Gower Heritage Centre where we will be joined by a knowledgeable guide who will take us on a guided tour of the Gower Peninsula from the comfort of our coach. Afterwards, we enjoy a traditional cream tea.
Located on a spectacular position at the gateway to West Wales, the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel blends its old-world charm with modern facilities.
