FRIDAY
We head north through the stunning British landscape and rolling countryside to our overnight hotel located in Perth.
SATURDAY
On the way to our main hotel in Thurso, we visit Dunrobin Castle, with admission included. Situated on the east coast of the Northern Highlands, overlooking the Moray Firth, it is the most northerly of Scotland's great houses and has seen the architectural influences of Sir Charles Barry, who designed the Houses of Parliament.
SUNDAY
After breakfast we visit Castle Mey & Gardens, with admission included. This was one of the much-adored homes of the Queen Mother, who saved it from ruin in 1952. With glorious views across the Pentland Firth towards Orkney, the castle is kept as it was when the Queen Mother was in residence. On our way back to the hotel this afternoon, we enjoy a brief stop at John o' Groats, a Highland village known for its dramatic, unspoilt scenery and fascinating wildlife.
MONDAY
Today, enjoy a voyage of discovery on a coach guided tour of the magical Orkney Islands. Cameras at the ready, because here, you will have the opportunity to see the World Heritage sites of Skara Brae, Standing Stones of Stenness and the Ring of Brodgar, plus Scapa Flow.
TUESDAY
We make our way to Inverness - the largest town and cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands. Here, we enjoy free time before travelling to our overnight hotel in Perth.
WEDNESDAY
We retrace our footsteps home.
