DUNSTER &
SIMONSBATH (FULL DAY): Dunster, the largest and most intact medieval village in England! Dominated by Dunster Castle (whose origins go back 1,000 years), the town has a wealth of history to discover, including the iconic Yarn Market and the remains of a Benedictine priory. We also visit Simonsbath, situated in the heart of the Exmoor National Park, immortalised in the classic novel Lorna Doone by R. D Blackmore with its stunning scenery and magnificent wildlife - look out for the wild ponies and deer!
BARNSTAPLE &
ILFRACOMBE (FULL DAY): The largest town in North Devon, Barnstaple is situated on the River Taw - this ancient, thriving market town is home to the traditional Pannier Market, and its pedestrianised centre features many fine buildings and attractive narrow streets and alleys. We also visit the popular resort of Ilfracombe, whose picturesque historic harbour is home to quaint pastel-coloured houses, a 14th Century chapel perched on Lantern Hill and Damien Hirst's statue Verity, who stands guard at the entrance surrounded by dramatic clifftop.
LYNTON &
LYNMOUTH (FULL DAY): Surrounded by magnificent scenery, the Victorian resort of Lynton is a walker's paradise and home to a selection of quaint shops, tearooms, and cafés. You will also find The Lyn and Exmoor Museum, housed in St Vincent's Cottage, and the highest fully water powered Victorian cliff railway in the World which takes you down to the neighbouring quaint harbour village of Lynmouth 700-feet below.
