Day 1
We begin our journey to Lynton, this small Victorian town is set amongst spectacular scenery known as 'England's Little Switzerland' and offers a selection of shops, tearooms and cafés.
DDay 2
After breakfast we visit Dunster, probably the largest and most intact medieval village in England! Dominated by Dunster Castle (whose origins go back 1,000 years), the town has a wealth of history to discover, including the iconic Yarn Market and the remains of a Benedictine priory. After some free time, we continue to the ancient harbour town of Watchet before spending the afternoon in Simonsbath, situated in the heart of the Exmoor National Park. This small town has been immortalised in the classic novel Lorna Doone by R. D Blackmore with its stunning scenery and magnificent wildlife - look out for the wild ponies and deer!
B, DDay 3
Surrounded by magnificent scenery, enjoy free time today in the Victorian resort of Lynton.
This walkers paradise is home to a selection of quaint shops, tearooms and cafés as well as The Lyn and Exmoor Museum, housed in St Vincent's Cottage, and the highest and steepest fully water powered Victorian cliff railway in the World!
Day 4
This morning we visit Barnstaple, full of pretty alleyways and courtyards - visit the Victorian style Pannier Market, with its traditional atmosphere and unique Butcher's Row. We continue for some free time this afternoon in the popular north Devon seaside resort of Ilfracombe.
B, DDay 5
After breakfast we begin the journey home, stopping for comfort breaks along the way.
