DAY 1
With a comfort stop en route, we make our way to Harrogate for an afternoon at leisure. Home to historic buildings and decorative gardens, Harrogate is one of Yorkshire's most elegant destinations. Maybe visit the Royal Pump Room Museum; built by Isaac Shutt in 1842, where you can explore life in a bygone era. Our hotel is located a short walk away from the centre (approx. 5 minutes), so after some free time why not enjoy a short stroll back to the hotel for this evening's dinner.
DDAY 2
This morning we visit the picturesque market town of Knaresborough. The town centre is perched on the cliffs above the River Nidd and the imposing railway viaduct across the Nidd Gorge offers an amazing view to visitors as they arrive by train. Discover its 'olde world' charms. Later, we head to Leeds, the financial and commercial capital of Yorkshire for some free time. Whether you're looking for culture, history, shopping or just to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, there's so much to experience in Leeds, the home to a wealth of attractions. You could visit the Royal Armouries Museum (free admission), hit the high street, or enjoy the award-winning restaurants.
DAY 3
After breakfast we leave Harrogate and travel to Holmfirth which sits in the heart of breathtaking Holme Valley. Explore the familiar locations from the hit TV series 'Last of the Summer Wine' including 'Syd's Café' and Nora Batty's steps. From here we continue mid-afternoon back home.
DD=Dinner
Situated a short walk away from Harrogates centre, our grand, Victorian hotel boasts private gardens, a gym, bar, lounge area and restaurant. The traditionally furnished guestrooms include a TV and tea and coffee making facilities.
