Day 1
We travel to Harrogate in search of the ever-popular Christmas market. Held on The Stray in the stylish Montpellier Quarter, this festive market is a great day out and unlike most, features a strong Yorkshire theme with plenty of high-quality Yorkshire and Harrogate products on offer. With everything from Yorkshire cheeses and chutneys to handmade gifts and Christmas decorations, not normally found on the high street. After some free time, we continue to our hotel.
DDay 2
After a hearty breakfast we travel to York for free time, take a leisurely stroll along St Nicholas Fair and soak up the festive atmosphere as you discover fine Yorkshire produce from crafters and makers showcased at the Made in Yorkshire Yuletide Village. For more traditional Christmas gifts, including crafts and jewellery, head to the twinkling chalets on Parliament Street. Before we return home, be sure to sample some of the local specialities and delicious treats including hot chestnuts, and warmed mulled wine.
