CARLISLE
(FULL DAY, *OPTIONAL EXCURSION): A picturesque drive along Ullswater will take us to Carlisle, where we enjoy some free time to explore. Head to the spacious pedestrianised Greenmarket - a focal point for street entertainment, Farmers Market and Christmas celebrations. From here you can visit the cathedral (a few minutes' walk) or the formidable fortress of Carlisle Castle.
WINDERMERE
(FULL DAY): Enjoy free time in Windermere, situated just one mile from the lake this busy little town has a good variety of local shops.
KESWICK, GRASMERE,
AMBLESIDE & BOWNESS-ON-WINDERMERE (FULL DAY): Enjoy a full day excursion exploring the beautiful Lake District National Park. We will visit Keswick, a pretty market town on the shores of Derwentwater and Grasmere, famous for its' connections with poet William Wordsworth. From here we continue onto Ambleside, where we have arranged a cruise on Lake Windermere to the pretty village of Bowness-on-Windermere.

Perched on a hill overlooking Windermere town centre is the Windermere Hotel. Built in 1847 the hotel offers rooms with en suite bathrooms, a piano lounge bar, restaurant, free Wi-Fi and The Boardroom offer a TV, board games and cards.
