DAY 1
On the way to our hotel we travel to Gretna Green, home to the famous Blacksmiths Shop for free time and the perfect opportunity to pick up some Scottish merchandise.
DAY 2
- Enjoy a feast of festive treats today at Edinburgh's Christmas Market set in the historic heart of the city. Enjoy delicious food and drink with traditional crafts at the Scottish Market on George Street, pick up unique gifts and goods at the European Market in the Mound Precinct, or choose presents for the wee ones in the Children's Market, part of Santa Land in Princes Street Gardens*.
*We will stay in central Edinburgh until mid-evening allowing you to enjoy the magic of the Christmas Market in the dark lit by endless twinkling fairy lights. Please note: Dinner is not included at the hotel this evening due to the late arrival back.
DAY 3
After breakfast we take you to Carlisle for free time. Perhaps see how many of the three most famous city attractions (Carlisle Castle, Carlisle Cathedral and the award-winning Tullie House Museum) you can squeeze in before we return home.
