RYDE & COWES
(FULL DAY): One of the UK's original seaside destinations and much loved by Queen Victoria, Ryde is a quirky mix of traditional seaside fun, Victorian architecture and unexpected hidden Gems, home to long, spacious stretches of sandy beaches, a thriving, independent shopping scene and fabulous dining. Later, we visit Cowes, located on the very northern tip of the Isle of Wight, Cowes is a Mecca for yachtsman, home to the oldest and biggest sailing regatta in the world and during the sailing season the waterfront is a kaleidoscope of colourful sails. The town has its own small shopping centre, lively marina and seafront promenade, with fine Solent views.
CHRISTMAS DAY
(FULL DAY): Celebrate Christmas Day at leisure in one of Sandown's finest hotels. Today there will be a full board meal package included! Situated on the seafront, head out to the beach for a refreshing walk before kicking off the fun festivities. With an indoor heated swimming pool and 2 bars at the hotel, enjoy a relaxing day (with no washing up).
GODSHILL &
VENTNOR (FULL DAY): We travel to Godshill village, which boasts some of the oldest architecture on the Island before travelling to Ventnor, a traditional resort and one of Britain's most famous Victorian health resorts due to its unique micro-climate. Along the golden sands you will find the main promenade with a traditional arcade and a range of amusements, a short distance from the seafront you can stroll through the beautiful Victorian Ventnor Park, leading to the famous Botanic Gardens at the Undercliff.
NEWPORT
(FULL DAY): Newport is the principal town of the Isle of Wight, located in the centre of the Island it is often referred to as its capital. This historic town centres on two elegant squares with Georgian and Victorian architecture surrounding them, with the town’s quay a short distance away.
The Royal Pier Hotel **, Sandown
Boasting a seafront location in Sandown, the Royal Pier Hotel was originally built by the Victorians for Princess Beatrice as her summer residence. Today our family owned hotel offers the unbeatable atmosphere of a small hotel with great facilities including a heated swimming pool with spa pool, 2 bars and internet access.
