MEVAGISSEY &
LOST GARDENS OF HELIGAN (FULL DAY): Mevagissey is an attractive harbourside village, located within its narrow streets are a wealth of gift shops, craft workshops, galleries, cafés, and pubs. It is also home to The World of Model Railway Exhibition, an excellent Folk Museum, and an aquarium in the old lifeboat house. Later, we visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan, with admission included. This 'secret garden' was accidently re-discovered in 1992 from under decades of tangled weeds. Here you can explore 200 acres of garden history, mystery and romance which having been lost to the brambles since the outbreak of World War I, have become Europe's largest garden restoration project and is today one of the finest in England. Here you can see the blooming Magnolias displayed and enjoy a traditional Cornish Cream Tea, before returning to our hotel.
NEWQUAY
(FULL DAY): Located on Cornwall's Atlantic Coast, Newquay has previously been voted as "One of the Nation's Favourite Seaside Towns" in the prestigious Which Holiday Survey, and recently won Gold for "Best Seaside Towns for Families 2019" by Coast Magazine. Perhaps jump on the famous Land Train for a unique and fun journey through the centre of town, past the Trenance Gardens and Boating Lake towards Newquay's stunning beaches.
FALMOUTH &
TRURO (FULL DAY): Enjoy visits to Falmouth, based around a thriving harbour, Falmouth is famous for its fascinating Maritime heritage being home to the National Maritime Museum and its creative buzz with many art galleries displaying contemporary works and its Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty along the Helford and Fal Rivers. And Truro, Truro, the UK's most southerly city is dominated by Truro Cathedral, with its impressive gothic towers. In its shadow is a warren of compact streets, home to a charming array of independent boutiques, bookshops, cafés and artists' studios having been a magnet for painters for over 50 years.
Ideally located just 200 yards from Tolcarne Beach, the Barrowfield Hotel is a short 10-minute walk from Newquay town centre. The entertainment room features live acts every night and the spacious lounge offers plenty of space to relax in.
