SUDELEY CASTLE
& GARDENS (HALF DAY): We visit Sudeley Castle & Gardens with admission included. Located in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds, it is the only privately owned Castle in England to have a queen buried within its grounds - Catherine Parr (the last of Henry VIII's six wives). Surrounded by a breath taking 1,200 acres estate and ten award-winning gardens, the centrepiece is the stunning Queens Garden, named after four of England's Queen's (Anne Boleyn, Catherine Parr, Lady Jane Grey and Elizabeth I) who once walked upon the original Tudor Parterre here.
BOWOOD HOUSE
& GARDENS (HALF DAY): Home of the Marquis and Marchioness of Lansdowne, Bowood House and Gardens hosts a wealth of unique art, antiques and historical reassures with over 300 exhibits on display. The private Georgian house sits amongst magnificent award-winning Italian inspired formal gardens and what is regarded to be one of the best-preserved examples of 'Capability' Brown Parkland.
GLOUCESTER
& SHARPNESS CANAL CRUISE & CHELTENHAM (FULL DAY): We head to Gloucester, for a leisurely 45-minute cruise on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal. Discover the history of the canal while relaxing on board the Queen Boadicea II, which helped evacuate troops from the beaches of Dunkirk in May 1940. In the afternoon we visit the spa town Cheltenham, the gateway to the Cotswolds know for its Regency buildings including the Pittville Pump Room, for some free time to explore.
HIDCOTE MANOR GARDEN
(HALF DAY): Before returning home, we visit the National Trust's Hidcote Manor Gardens. Created by the talented American horticulturist, Major Lawrence Johnston, it is one of the greatest gardens in the country! Explore the maze of narrow paved pathways and discover secret gardens, magnificent vistas and plants that burst with colour.
