Cornish Coast to Coast ft Falmouth St Ives & Eden

PENZANCE &

LAND'S END (FULL DAY): This morning we travel to Penzance - famous for its history of pirates! Take a walk by the harbour and look out for St Michael's Mount - a Medieval castle which stands proudly on a small tidal island. After some free time, we continue to Land's End - Britain's most south westerly point.

FALMOUTH

(FULL DAY): Based around a thriving harbour, Falmouth is famous for its fascinating Maritime heritage being home to the National Maritime Museum and its creative buzz with many art galleries displaying contemporary works and its Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty along the Helford and Fal Rivers.

EDEN PROJECT

(FULL DAY): Dubbed the eighth wonder of the world by some, incredible Eden is a dramatic global garden, housed in tropical biomes that nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches, and is home to the largest indoor rainforest in the world. Recognised by the British Travel Awards as the Best UK Leisure Attractive five years running, this destination deserves a day of your undivided attention. Experience the sights, smells and scale of the rainforest in the Rainforest Biome and discover the tropical plants that are used to produce everyday products. Travel to South Africa and California, as you amble amongst the orange and lemon trees, olive groves and gnarled vines of the Mediterranean Biome, and in the 30-acre Outdoor Garden see hemp, sunflowers and other plants flourishing under the Cornish sun.

TRURO & ST IVES

(FULL DAY): Truro, the UK's most southerly city is dominated by Truro Cathedral, with its impressive gothic towers. In its shadow is a warren of compact streets, home to a charming array of independent boutiques, bookshops, cafés and artists' studios having been a magnet for painters for over 50 years. We also visit the picturesque fishing harbour of St Ives, the Jewel in Cornwall's crown. Perhaps enjoy a short walk along Portminster Beach and stroll through the maze of cobbled streets for which the seaside town is famous? If you look out to the bay, you will see the wonderful view of Godrevy Lighthouse, which was the inspiration for the Virginia Woolf novel 'The Lighthouse.'
