SOUTHEND-ON-SEA
(FULL DAY): The popular seaside resort of Southend-on-Sea is most famous for being home to the longest pleasure pier in the world, stretching for 1.33 miles! Steeped in history, visitors have the option to take the train or take a wander down the walkway. Did you know the Pier is also home to the Southend Lifeboat Staton and gift shop? Learn more about their life saving work at the ever-popular Lifeboat shop.
CONSTABLE COUNTRY
(FULL DAY): Enjoy a full day excursion to Constable Country, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - we visit Flatford Mill, immortalised in his masterpiece The Hay Wain and remaining just as when the artist captured it on canvas, including Willy Lott's House and the exhibition about John Constable's life and work. We continue via the charming village of Dedham whose church also features in several of Constable's paintings, to Britain's oldest town of Colchester, with medieval lanes and alleyways crammed with individual shops.
