Day 1

We visit the cathedral city of Salisbury, welcoming travellers since 1227 the city has an ageless beauty and a captivating history. At its heart is Salisbury Cathedral, now home to Britain’s best preserved Magna Carta. After some free time, we continue to our hotel with a comfort break along the way.


Day 2

After a leisurely start we make our way to nearby Poole for the afternoon. As well as being home to Europe’s largest natural harbour, Poole is also home of RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) and their training college with hotel and restaurant is located on the harbour’s edge.

Day 3

After breakfast we take a scenic drive through the New Forest National Park (known for its native ponies) to Southampton, where we will enjoy some free time. Located on the south coast, this port city is famous for being the place where the Titanic departed in 1912. You can discover more about this in the SeaCity Museum, which features an interactive model of the world-famous ship. Or perhaps head to Tudor house & Garden that displays artefacts covering over 800 years of history, including a penny-farthing bike.

Day 4

Enjoy a free day in Bournemouth. Why not take a stroll amongst the town’s many glorious gardens and parks? Starting in the Lower Gardens, which are adjacent to the sea, you can take a beautiful walk from the seafront passing the lush trees and shrubs from around the world to the Central Gardens and then if you want to, continue through to the Upper Gardens. These are the most famous in Bournemouth, retaining much of their Victorian character and are Grade II listed.

Day 5

Today we hop over to the Isle of Purbeck, a Dorset peninsula that is bordered by water on three sides and a must-see for anyone with an interest in nature, architecture and stunning views. Here we will visit Swanage and Corfe Castle, one of Britain’s most iconic and evocative survivors of the English Civil War.

Day 6

After breakfast we wave goodbye to Bournemouth and begin the journey home, stopping for comfort breaks along the way.

Opened on Queen Victoria's coronation day in June 1838, the Royal Bath Hotel & Spa Bournemouth was the first hotel in Bournemouth. It offers 3 hotel restaurants, a health spa and lovely sea views. Just moments from the seafront, this classically styled hotel has well-equipped rooms, each including a satellite TV and free internet.


Royal Bath's restaurant uses seasonal, local produce whenever possible. Drinks, sandwiches and afternoon cream teas are served in the relaxed Lounge.

For their dining experience, guests can choose from the views at the Garden Restaurant, light meals at the Cafe Promenade or fine dining at Oscar’s, named after regular hotel guest Oscar Wilde. The Leisure Pavillion allows guests to relax in an indoor pool, hot tub or sauna. There is also a gym and a range of health and beauty treatments available. Access to the spa and leisure facilities is subject to a surcharge.
