DAY 1
We travel to our hotel stunningly situated in the heart of the beautiful Westmeath Lakelands. Nestled in countryside, this luxurious four-star hotel is noted for its delicious fine dining, attentive service and superb leisure facilities. For the ultimate relaxing experience during our break we can provide midweek spa discounts - please call for more information.
DAY 2
This morning we visit Athlone, an historic town commonly known as the 'Gateway to the West'. Why not visit Athlone Castle, a major attraction that features a visitor centre. We then visit Galway, internationally known for its friendly people and charming streets. Perhaps visit the Galway City Museum, a modern, spacious building that is home to a fabulous collection of Galway's history and heritage.
DAY 3
After an early start we visit Dublin to experience the city's St Patrick's Day celebrations! Including the opportunity to see the world-famous parade (which starts at midday). Away from the celebrations, perhaps experience some of the sights, including: the Millennium Spire and Trinity College. If you like Guinness, you'll love the Guinness Storehouse, or if you'd prefer to stay in the heart of the city, Temple Bar is filled with a variety of pubs, restaurants, and cafés, so there's something to suit all tastes.
NB. Dinner is NOT included at hotel tonight to maximise time allowed in Dublin.
DAY 4
After an enjoyable stay, we return home.
