This beautifully thought out, brand new, exhibition charted the story of the Spencer family from Medieval sheep-farmers, through the dynasty of politicians and strong female figures, to the present today. The vast majority of the items shown here were not usually on public view – from great treasures through to intimate family pieces.
This intriguing exhibition – located in the exquisite, ironstone, Stables next to Althorp – illustrated 500 years of the Spencer family and their contribution to English public life.
