NEW: 1930'S TYNESIDE NEWCASTLE NIGHT AT THE MOVIES! 2019

Tyneside Cinema is an important piece of history, both locally and nationally. Originally built as Newcastle’s News Theatre in 1937, it is the last purpose-built newsreel theatre in the UK still operating as a cinema today. Offering a rich and diverse artistic programme of film and film heritage, sit back, relax and step into the wonderful world of film on this break.

DURING YOUR STAY

Day 1 – We travel to our hotel in Newcastle for an early check in. After a little time to freshen up, we will take you to the historic Tyneside Cinema for your “Saturday Night at the Movies”! Upon arrival we’ll be greeted by a member of staff who will show us into the the classic room where you can enjoy a film in the magnificent fully restored news theartre reel room.

Day 2 – After breakfast we head to Newcastle for free time. Perhaps take a walk along the Quayside and enjoy the spectacular views of Newcastle and Gateshead’s famous bridges, including the iconic Tyne Bridge and Gateshead Millemmium Bridge before stopping off for a bite to eat at the restaurants overlooking the Tyne.
