DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – After pick-ups, we travel to our hotel with a stop at National Trust’s Nostell Priory & Parkland. This 18th century mansion is home to many antiques and treasures and also holds one of the first longcase clocks handmade by the famous inventor, John Harrison. There is plenty to explore here, including magnificent gardens and crafts.
Day 2 – We start the day with a trip to Black Sheep Brewery where each beer is made with a culmination of the brewing expertise which spans six family generations. We learn all about the brewing process during our guided tour. After lunch, we travel to Wensleydale’s Creamery for a demonstration of cheese making along with a delicious afternoon tea. Followed by a visit through the Little Chocolate Shop.
Day 3 – Today, we have a free day to explore Leeds. With over 16 museums and galleries, there’s something to cater to all tastes. Or if you’re looking to purchase some nice bits and bobs, the city is also known for being a top UK shopping destination and is home to over 1,000 shops within the city centre!
Day 4 – We embark on a journey to York where we have an excursion booked in for a guided tour around York’s Chocolate Story. Here, you can learn the stories behind the greatest names in chocolate and unwrap the chocolatier’s secrets! After, there is free time to explore York and perhaps sit down with a nice cup of tea in one of the many quaint cafes?
Day 5 – Today is home time, but not before we squeeze one last trip in to Oldroyd’s Rhubarb Triangle experience. On our guided tour, we learn about the secrets and growing techniques at this popular working farm, which is also named one of Rick Stein’s ‘Food Hero Producer’.
