DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – After local pick-ups we travel to our overnight hotel.
Day 2 – We travel onwards to the Black Forest, enjoying a leisurely stop in Strasbourg – the historic capital city of Alsace. Filled with culture and architecture which beautifully blends both German and French influences, Strasbourg is the second most popular tourist city in France (after Paris). Later, we arrive to a welcome drink followed by a 3-course dinner, tea/coffee and live entertainment.
Day 3 – Our first stop today is in the market town of Freudenstadt, history hasn’t always been kind to Freudenstadt, but each time the town was restored and was made a little bit more beautiful than before! The market square, the largest in the whole of Germany, is one of the town’s most famous features. It is famed by beautiful historical buildings, including some delightful arcaded houses. After some free time, we travel to the world-renowned spa town of Baden – Baden, nestled in the beautiful landscape along the border of the Black Forest. Later we return to the hotel for tonight’s special 5-course dinner New Year’s Eve dinner followed by live music and dancing!
Day 4 – After a leisurely breakfast, this afternoon we visit the picture-perfect town of Gengenbach sitting on the banks of the River Kinzig, Gengenbach is arguably the prettiest town in Germany and offers all the charms of a well preserved old town with a pleasant mixture of medieval and Baroque architecture.
Day 5 – Today we will visit the charming little town of Obernau and Zell, situated on the Mosel River. These two picturesque towns offer narrow streets to explore and quaint plazas.
Day 7 – After a leisurely breakfast, we travel to our overnight hotel for bed and breakfast.
Day 6 – We retrace our footsteps home.
