Excursions to Luxembourg Christmas market, Metz Christmas market, Bernkastel Kues & Trier



Day 1 – We begin our journey south for our ferry crossing to Continental Europe. We then continue to our hotel in Luxembourg for a 3 night dinner, bed and breakfast stay.

Day 2 – This morning we visit the city of Luxembourg to enjoy their traditional Christmas markets. Experience the wonderful atmosphere as each year the main square of the capital is turned into a real Christmas village covered with sparkling wooden huts selling candles, decorations, sweets and typical drinks such as Glühwein. This afternoon we explore the markets in Metz, spread across the city's 6 main squares.

Day 3 – Today we venture into Germany to enjoy the quaint Christmas market and village at Bernkastel Kues, with its half-timbered houses and narrow winding streets it is sure to really get you into the festive spirit.  As we retrace our steps back to the hotel we stop off in Trier Germany’s oldest town.  Amid the medieval surroundings of the Hauptmarkt square the mighty cathedral stands proud and is impressive to see.

Day 4
– We retrace our footsteps back through France towards home.
