Day 1 – Following an early departure we set sail across the Continent and travel to our overnight hotel for one night bed and breakfast.

Day 2 – We continue our journey to our resort on the outskirts of Vienna for 5 nights’ dinner, bed and breakfast.

Day 3 – Your first day in Vienna begins with a gentle journey on Schönbrunn’s Panorama Train which takes you around the gardens and grounds of Austria’s largest Palace followed by a guided tour around the Palace itself. Afterwards you embark on an informative city tour before ending the day with a traditional three course dinner accompanied by a glass of locally produced wine and Viennese music.

Day 4 – Today we have arranged an historical tram tour around Vienna’s most famous thoroughfare – the Viennese Ring. This beautiful boulevard replaced the old city walls and encircles the heart of the city, housing many of Vienna’s most iconic buildings including: the Opera House, Hofburg Imperial Palace and the Parliament Buildings. Stopping at the world-famous Opera House we will be joined by a singer to entertain with songs and music. Afterwards we enjoy a guided walk through the old town and this afternoon we complete the day with a trip to a local restaurant to enjoy Vienna’s tasty signature dish, Wiener Schnitzel.

Day 5 – Enjoy exploring Vienna on your own today! Perhaps visit a museum, indulge in a little shopping or enjoy a Viennese coffee with a piece of Sacher Torte (chocolate cake) in a traditional Viennese Coffeehouse. Dinner will take place at the hotel this evening.

Day 6 – After breakfast we visit Naschmarkt, Vienna’s best known market with over 120 stalls to browse. Afterwards we have planned a miniature steam train ride through the Vienna Prater Fairgrounds – the smoke and hissing of the steam engines will remind you of the nostalgic steam trains of the past – and this little trip will take us to the Giant Ferris Wheel. Here you can enjoy the breath-taking views of the city from almost 200 feet up, and locals claim that you haven’t truly seen Vienna until you have experienced this! Our final dinner will take place tonight at the hotel.

Day 7 – Even the best of trips must come to an end! After breakfast we wave goodbye to Vienna and travel back to our overnight hotel.

Day 8 – After breakfast we arrive at Calais and return home.
