Day 1 – We cross the Continent over to Calais and continue to our overnight hotel.

Day 2 – After breakfast we depart to our resort in Feldkirch – we arrive to a welcome drink and a short introductory tour about our stay!

Day 3 – We begin today with a journey along Lake Constance, this central European lake borders Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Along the way we stop at Meersburg, this small, beautiful city is home to Meersburg Castle, the New Castle ‘Neues Schloss Meersburg’ and the Tower of the Old Castle which has stunning views of the Alps and Lake Constance. Afterwards we visit Hagnau an idyllic fishing and wine village where we have arranged a wine tasting for you before making our way to Lindau known locally as the “City on the island” – here we have arranged a boat trip to Bregenz.

Day 4 – Experience storybook Switzerland on a full day excursion. Travelling through the valley of Toggenburg our first stop is the romantic city of Lichtensteig, picture old narrow lanes filled with years of history. After some free time we take you to Läderach Chocolaterie (a Swiss chocolate speciality) where we have arranged a tour and each passenger will receive a voucher to be used in the on-site shop! Discover how their famous chocolate is made and taste some samples along the way. On our way back to the hotel we visit Werdenberg, Switzerland’s smallest town and home to the only wooden medieval settlement in Switzerland.

Day 5 – Today you will be given a day-ticket for use on public transport and after breakfast you will be collected from the hotel by an experienced local guide who will take you (by public transport) on a city tour of Medieval Feldkirch, we will also visit Schattenburg-castle, built in the 13th century it is one of the most important medieval fortress’ of Vorarlberg. This afternoon is at leisure maybe visit the Alpine Zoo in Feldkirch.

Day 6 – This morning we visit Schwarzenberg, one of the oldest towns in the Bregenzerwald and internationally known for being the place where famous artists and pioneer Angelika Kauffmann worked with her father before moving to London in the 18th century. Here you can visit the Angelika Kauffmann Museum and the Local History Museum. We continue to Schoppernau were we have arranged for a local cheese (Bergkäse) tasting with a glass of milk, afterwards we visit the Fohrenburg Brewery where the best beer in Vorarlberg is brewed! And of course no visit would be complete without a cheeky taste before we travel back to the hotel.

Day 7 – After breakfast our hosts will hand out your complimentary souvenir of Austria and we will then travel back to our overnight hotel for one night bed and breakfast.

Day 8 – We retrace our footsteps back through the Continent and home.
