Britain’s maritime history is one of the most important in the world with Portsmouth being at the centre of this fascinating heritage. Our carefully planned tour includes an inspiring and intriguing itinerary which takes us to Portsmouth Dockyard, Bucklers Hard Museum and we also include a cruise along the Beaulieu River.

DURING YOUR STAY

Day 1 – Travel with a stop at Oxford en-route

Day 2 – Visit Portsmouth Dock yard situated in a working Naval Base, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is the only place in the world where you can discover the Royal Navy past, present and future and is home to a collection of fantastic attractions, historic ships and museums.

Day 3 – Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Bournemouth, the largest resort in Dorset. Bournemouth boasts 7 miles of sandy beaches, a vast array of shops and beautiful gardens.

Day 4 – Today we have arranged a full day excursion starting at Bucklers Hard Museum, which provides an insight into the history of this 18th century shipbuilding village including its vessels built for Nelson’s Navy. Afterwards enjoy a leisurely cruise along the River Beaulieu with on-board commentary and history about the surrounding area.

Day 5 – After a leisurely breakfast we return home.
