Day 3 – Enjoy a day at leisure in our resort. Wander along the sandy beach or take time to relax on the panoramic sun terrace. Or venture into the characteristic old town to explore the numerous shops and restaurants.

Day 4 –
This morning we visit San Remo, known colloquially as the City of Flowers for its colourful summer blooms. This elegant tourist resort stages an annual music festival which was reportedly the inspiration for the Eurovision Song Contest and the world’s longest professional one day cycling race the ‘Milan – San Remo classic.’

Day 5 –
After a leisurely morning we travel to Monaco, a known holiday destination for the rich and famous. While you’re here take a tour around ‘Palais Princier de Monaco’, the Princes Palace, located in a unique setting upon the ‘Rock of Monaco’ and Monaco Cathedral, this Roman-Byzantine style building houses the burial places of past sovereigns including Prince Rainier and Princess Grace. If you have time peeping inside Monte Carlo’s legendary marble and gold casino is a must!

Day 6 – An optional full day excursion takes us to the charming fishing village of Portofino. This prettily-painted harbour settlement exudes an air of tranquillity and is certainly a must for anyone visiting the area. The little streets leading from the harbour are scattered with boutiques as well as souvenir shops and the Piazzetta by the harbour is lined with café and restaurant tables; a lovely place to relax with a drink and watch the boats pass. €20 per person, bookable with driver.

Day 7 – Today we have planned a full day excursion to Menton and Eze. Menton, which lies off the French Riviera, is one of the most attractive towns on the entire coast. Its old town is a cascade of pastel-coloured buildings and here you can find a museum dedicated to the artist and film director Jean Cocteau. The tiny village of Eze is one of the jewels of the south of France. Perched on a rocky hill it offers wonderful views of the surrounding hills and the azure water below.

Day 8 – Today we begin our journey back to our return overnight hotel.

Day 9 – After breakfast we make our way to Calais for the return sailing to Dover. We then continue our journey homewards.
