Day 1 – Departure by coach we make our way for lunch in Worcester before continuing to our hotel.
Day 2 – After breakfast we visit the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, recently voted by BBC Gardeners World as the “number 1 garden to visit in Wales”. Set in the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside the garden is a fascinating blend of modern and historic with an inspiring range of themed gardens, the world’s largest single-span glasshouse and a national nature reserve.
Day 3 – This morning we visit St Fagan’s National History Museum of Wales, one of Europe’s leading open-air museums and Wales most popular heritage attraction. The museum stands in the grounds of the magnificent St Fagans Castle and gardens, a late 16th century manor house and here you can explore over 40 original buildings from different historical periods that have been re-erected. After some free time we return back to the hotel where tea and coffee will be waiting for us.
Day 4 – After a morning at leisure we visit Dewstow Gardens and grottoes. The ‘Lost Gardens’ of Dewstow where buried after World War II and only rediscovered in 2000, the gardens are home to an interesting labyrinth of underground grottoes and tunnels.
Day 5 – After breakfast we retrace our footsteps home.
