About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Controls Manager to Manage and Lead our Engineer team of 23 employees. This role will report in to our Senior Engineer Manager and you will be a part of a management structure of 12. This role is very hands on management position which we are seeking an individual who can Lead and empower a team around them to achieve objectives with tight deadlines. Your responsibilities include ensuring you lead by example and adhere to all Health and safety rules and regulations to maintain a modern fleet of vehicles to the highest of standards required by our Operator Licence and Key clients such as National Express.

Qualifications, Skills and Background

  • Strong Problem-Solving capabilities with short and long-term planning
  • Quality Focus with Drive to work in a team and individually
  • Willing to be contactable always in the event of emergencies
  • Desire to work in an exciting Process driven team to lead Improvement with rapid change adhering to all compliance and Health and Safety regulations
  • Can build strong Client Relationships with external company’s
  • Lead a team of engineers with concise clear and realistic objectives
  • Reporting experience with basic IT Skills to provide management reports on key performance indicators including control and financial costs
  • Strong engineering background with over 2 years managing a commercial workshop
  • General experience in knowledge of modern vehicle electronics
  • An Open-Minded Quality Approach with a Business Vision
  • Excellent Communication skills with the ability to explain your working knowledge of VOSA Compliance
  • Ability to handle conflict with resolution
  • Over 12 months hands on PCV technical experience
  • Lead with drive and passion to investigate situationsand empower our business
  • Ability to retain and process large amounts of technical information
  • Current Full Driving License held
  • Ability to use initiative with time management deadlines
  • Minimum qualifications equivalent to City and Guilds Level 2 motor Vehicles or similar
  • Rota planning of the department to accommodate holidays
  • Can provide up to date VOR lists for all departments and lease with operations to plan and priorities repairs
  • High Organizational skills are required to ensure vehicle inspections are carried out to deadlines with all repairs cleared for safety on the road all paperwork compliant signed and dated

 

Desirable

  • PCV Driving License
  • Working Knowledge of Air conditioning and dealing with vehicle inspectors
  • Store management background

 

Salary Expectations

Our Salary is competitive to be discussed at Interview dependent on experience. The role is a 55 hours contract Monday to Friday 0600-1600 and Saturday 0600-1100.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to lead our team in Contracts Insurance. Your role would be to prepare reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information. We would support you in your career by ensuring you maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Your Responsibility’s would include your continued contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. By helping and participating in relevant business meetings as required to understand and support business requirements. With your skills experience and knowledge, you would be able to show improvements in risk programs advising drivers on how they can improve their risk levels. You will report into the Senior Operations Manager and support and assist the Senior Management in projects with risk initiatives. We are looking for an individual who will support the business to make better business decisions and improve their awareness and understanding of risk including insurance risk management initiatives

  • General experience in insurance industry involving analysis and projects

  • Excellent Communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical analysis to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to handle conflict with resolution

  • Ability to retain and process large amounts of technical information

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills

 

Desirable

  • A technical background in Mathematics and Data Analytics

Salary Expectations

Our Salary is competitive to be discussed at Interview dependent on experience. The role is a 40 hours contract Monday to Friday Business hours with 25 days holiday and a comprehensive benefits package including a company pension scheme.

PCV DRIVERS (PT & FT)

 

Looking for a new challenge? We employ a combination of full-time, part-time and seasonal drivers throughout the year.

We look for drivers who enjoy dealing with people and are able to communicate well. They must be clean, smart and polite – giving a good impression of the company. We like people to have enthusiasm and be able to see an unexpected problem as an interesting challenge. A positive attitude is essential. A good geographical knowledge is a distinct advantage for drivers wanting to take on tour work. Being able to accurately follow both written and verbal instructions is important, as is completing reports and forms.

We employ a combination of full-time, part-time and seasonal drivers throughout the year.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and hold a clean PCV licence.

PSV TECHNICIANS / VEHICLE INSPECTORS

 

We require highly skilled, experienced PSV technicians to join our friendly engineering team at our purpose-built engineering facility based at our Head Office in Bulwell.

Duties will include:

  • Carrying out vehicle inspections and MOT preparations to a high standard
  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance repairs
  • Diagnose & carry out a variety of repairs
  • Fault finding and defect clearing using latest diagnostic equipment
  • Completion of all required paperwork to a high standard

 

Person specification:

  • Good housekeeping routines to meet Health and Safety standards
  • Recognised qualifications (City & Guilds NVQ or equivalent) If not proven industry experience
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Experience of working on a wide variety of different makes of coaches
  • You will be required to work on a rotating shift basis
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A PCV license is desired although full training can be provided for the successful candidate
